Fitness Q&A with Lucy Wyndham Read& GIVEAWAY!

Hello Guys,
I feel like i have neglected this blog for quite a while, as i have been focusing a lot on my youtube channel which you can check out here: youtube.com/amybellx 

Today i thought i would do a fitness q and a with the lovely youtuber and personal trainer Lucy Wyndham Read who's channel and social media's will be linked at the end of this blog post as well. 
I found Lucy from Anna-Saccone Joly's channel as she is her personal trainer.

I asked Lucy some questions to help you get fit for summer 2018;
Q&A:


1. How did you get into fitness?
Lucy: When I was at school I was to shy to do sports and struggled with my weight and through bullying a low self esteem I avoided doing any sort of activity, but at the age of 19 I wanted to change this and I knew the only way to do this was to jump out of my comfort zone, so I went off to join the army , as this is where I fell in love with fitness.

2. what's the best way to get more out of your workouts?
L: The most important part of all is to focus and give each move 100%. As i always say, the intensity is more important than the time, so just make sure you always push yourself to the max.

3. biggest fitness inspiration?
L: So, this is a funny one, as it is more about attitude as well as fitness. It is Eddie the Eagle (watch the film, it is a true story and is incredible. it proves we can achieve if we put our mind to it)

4. what's the thing that motivates you when you don't feel like exercising?
L: Music without a doubt, a fast up beat tune will make me want to do a workout. Plus I know the feeling after each workout is the best feeling in the world. 

5. what was it like being in the army and what did you get out of it?
The army was great as it constantly kept pushing me out of my comfort zone. I decided to leave after my Fiance got killed whilst serving abroad, and that was when my world changed and i decided to leave!
6. What advice do you give to new people looking to exercise?
L: Just start off slowly even if it is a 10 minute walk one day, then a 4 minute workout of mine the next day, just focus on a day at a time, but get excited because the great thing about finess is every single one of us, no matter what age, ability, we can all be fit and we can all do it. 

7. what is your favourite fitness quote?
L: 'It's the challenge that tones us' -Lucy

8. What does your day to day meal plan look like?
L: Breakfast- Scrambled eggs and avacado 
Snack: Banana and cappuccino 
Lunch: Soup and bread roll, yogurt with a few added oats
Snack: somedays if it is time of the month it will be chocolate) if i am being good an oatcake with honey. 
Dinner: Brown rice with tuna, then small bowl of cereal. 

9. how do you unwind?
L: In the bath, i love having baths. I put on all my fairy lights and fill it with bubbles and can easily spend an hour just relaxing and taking in the day.

10. Why did you start your youtube channel and website?
L: I wanted to provide a platform for SAFE fitness, motivation and wellbeing advice. As i see so many channels with misleading advice and selling gimmicks, i want to protect everyone from falling for any of that nonsense. I love the fact I can provide health and wellbeing to everyone worldwide for free with my youtube workouts!
